FORUS Bank has received a ruble loan from ING Bank Netherlands

The loan in the amount of RUR 70 million (equivalent of ˆ 2 million) was disbursed to FORUS Bank in December 2007. At a time when foreign markets are wavering in their support of Russian banks, the loan enables FORUS Bank to reliably provide loans to over 13,000 private entrepreneurs and small business enterprises, resulting in 6. 5 K jobs created and more than 27 K supported in 2007.

The signing of the loan agreement took place in Amsterdam, Netherlands at ING’s headquarters where the ING Microfinance Support unit oversees projects globally. Cooperation with leading foreign investors contributes not only to strengthening the image of Russian banks abroad but also to the steady development of private entrepreneurship and small business in Russia.
